Here we go! This is the video I’ve always wanted to do, ever since the days I lurked on DDRFreak.net watching way-too-awesome freestyle routines.

As for my DDR video attempt, Part 2 contains all the gameplay you could want from a washed-up DDR player. Listen to some phat beats, see a struggle of epic proportions, and go over the makings of a dance craze, in “Dance Dance Intervention: Part 2″.

My friend Dylan gave me the perfect opportunity to enumerate all my DDR-related expenses, which, in the second line of the video, I projected were in the thousands of dollars.

Seriously.
$300 metal pad
$29 x 3 soft pads
8 x $50 per game on avg. (minus 2 gifts)
~$40 in Adaptors
then… Ace Arcade every weekend all summer with Josh…

You do the math.

Keep in mind that when we went to Ace Arcade, we changed about 20 dollars each into loonies for the machine.

Just thought I’d back up that claim for any foo who would question it!

Problem Gamer, Episode 2: Dance Dance Intervention (Part 1)

Hey viewers,

In true Problem fashion, I’ve had no end of logistical nightmares over the Dance Dance Revolution episode. I’ve decided to release this first part, then the second whenever I get the issues sorted out–and hopefully lots of other eps in between!

This very gameplay-lacking instalment nevertheless begins to dig deep into the serious problem I had with DDR.

Quick DDR Episode Update

The episode is coming along, with a few hitches. PSX emulators are a no-go, but I have devised a way to work around it–a blend of (crappy) webcam footage with (good) StepMania video captures. At least I’ll be taking the cam footage from exotic Dreamcast imports! Hey, I used to watch ANY video of DDR, regardless of its roadie-cam qualities.
