Well, here’s a little update.
I’m hoping to do my next videos on the Panzer Dragoon series, love of my 32-bit gaming life. I’d like to immortalize my adoration for these rail-shooters (and one very special RPG) as best I can, so I’m looking into purchasing a DVD Recorder.
Unfortunately, I could not have fathomed how exorbitantly-priced they’d still be, especially with the proliferation of PVRs and video capture cards today. It may be that they’ve reached “antique” status–I don’t know.Anyway, I’m a little hesitant to spring for a used one, though I’ve seen quite a few at a local pawn shop and many more online. If anyone can hook me up with a good deal, or suggest a model with the best value for the money, I would really appreciate it. (I already know Samsung can’t make them worth crap, and Philips is king; but a Magnavox is seeming like a good compromise.)
Pointing the cam at the TV is fine–but I’d like to do better. Failing that, I’ll just have to pick a backup game, and continue the ol’ emulation gig. (Or even.. see how far Saturn emulators have come along. *cringe*)
