Yesterday, I took the first step that embarks on great adventure (or greater obscurity): I starred in a Youtube video. “Problem Gamer: The Pilot Episode” kicks off a video series that focuses on one gamer and her history of playing certain games–namely, the games that you couldn’t pry from her cold, dead hands. Most video game fans are a little too avid about a particular digital diversion in their lives, and I’m no different. I’m just of the mind that I can make fun of those games, and myself, a little bit… and maybe amuse in the process.
I’ve had this in the works for a while without terribly firm plans to release it, in case of, shall we say, “unfavourable public reaction”. It may sound like more of a proposal than a commitment–but regardless of the flaming, lambasting and complaining that’s sure to come down the pike, I’m pretty much guaranteed to continue the videos. If for nothing else, then just out of spite.
